1st Annual Bookmark Design Winners
This school year, NPDL began working closely with the G-P 4th grade classes to develop the Library Ambassadors Program (LAP), a project that we all hope to see continue and grow for many years to come. In addition to the bookmark contest, students have also learned about the InterLibrary Loan system (including placing their own holds in the library's app!), made several visits to NPDL, and discussed the impact reading can have on someone. Students were able to see how their own reading habits have made a big impact on NPDL by doubling the physical items circulation compared to this time last year. That's HUGE! We - NPDL, Mrs. Mason, Mrs. Bingham, and the students - have lots of big plans in the works for the rest of the year, and can't wait to see how LAP grows and evolves.
Congratulations to the winners of the first LAP Bookmark Design Contest!

"We tell stories so we won't forget the beauty, the wonder and the love that is possible in daily life. We especially need these stories during times of pain, suffering and loss - because it is during these times that we can forget what is good and true in life. We can forget what brings us together and makes us truly alive"
