The North Pike District Library’s first priority is always the health, safety, and well-being of the people in the community. Because of this, NPDL closed beginning Monday, March 16th, 2020. This was not a decision made lightly, but one that will help to encourage social distancing (reducing contact from person to person or among groups) and hopefully limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
A date for re-opening will be provided at a later date per guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC.
"We tell stories so we won't forget the beauty, the wonder and the love that is possible in daily life. We especially need these stories during times of pain, suffering and loss - because it is during these times that we can forget what is good and true in life. We can forget what brings us together and makes us truly alive"
